Dear Members,
The club is delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Partridge as our first team Captain.
Tom replaces the highly respected and experienced Danny Cranmer, who has decided to step down.
It goes without saying the club would like to thank Cranners for all his considerable efforts, and wish him luck next season.
Tom has forged a reputation as one of the finest batsmen in Cheshire.
Last year, as part of a highly successful opening partnership with Luke Young, he scored two centuries, including a personal best 169 v Widnes.
He also brings experience to his new role, given he was our captain for two years immediately before Cranners.
In fact, Tom was captain in 2019 when we won the Cheshire Cup, by beating Chester in the final. The attached photograph shows the 2019 team with the trophy after the game.
I'm sure everyone at the Club will get behind Tom, who we are sure will make a great captain and continue the progress of the last few seasons.
Good luck Tommy!
