George Balderson, Charlie Barnard and Keshana Fonseka, all young Hyde players, who have represented our first team this season, were selected for Lancashire County Cricket Club.
All three were picked in the 50 over game versus Northants.

This is a truly historic and rather unique moment for our club and of course for their families.

Following on, it was announced this week that Charlie and Kesh have been awarded 2 year professional contracts by Lancs, securing their immediate futures with the Red Rose Club.

Huge congratulations to Charlie and Kesh.

Charlie and Kesh therefore follow George into the Lancashire squad.
He made the grade two years ago now and this year signed a new long term contract, in recognition of his fine performances. At the age of 23, with two first class centuries and 89 first class wickets, he is developing into one of the country’s leading young all round cricketers.

Hyde Cricket and Squash Club is as one in wishing them long and successful careers.
